This week's question is: ACTIVITY! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.

I actually go for 2 walks most days at work and when I can't convince anyone else to walk with me, that's great reading time. I know a lot of people don't move while they are reading, but I really enjoy walking around and reading my Kindle. Right now, most of the trees on the blocks that I walk through have pretty flowers blooming from them (I'll take and add a picture tomorrow since I'm posting late Thursday night). Today was about 80 degrees here in Northeast Texas.

  1. Oh wow, I wish i could read and walk at the same time! I have to walk everyone while I'm at school, but I don't think I'm coordinated enough to try reading while walking! Hope you have a good Friday :)

Yeah, I don't like the heat too much! In St. Louis, we get that same kind of warm heat, but it comes with humidity and no cool breeze. It's stifling most days once that warm weather hits!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  3. I used to spend every summer in Kansas City and I definitely don't enjoy the stifling heat of over 100 degree temps that we both get. We have quite a bit of humidity here too so I completely understand. I do really enjoy Spring and Fall though :D Thank you so much for stopping by!

  4. It took a lot of practice :D I really appreciate you stopping by!

  5. I can't believe how warm it is over there. We're in the 50's here in the Northwest. And guess what? It's raining. I'm amazed that you can read and walk. Some people have accused me of not being able to walk at all without running into a pole. If I lived near you I would totally go on walks with you! Here's my FF.

  6. I'm way too clumsy to read and walk; it's bad enough that I walk into things even when I'm watching where I'm going, lol. Normally it's quite warm here in Florida this time of year, but we've been having some cool weather lately. I like it, because pretty soon the hot weather will be here to stay for a while.

  8. I so love reading while I'm walking, though in the city it's not very safe to do so, lol. Happy Friday!!

  9. I used to live in Dallas. I don't miss the heat or the humidity! But I did enjoy walking during the spring and fall. I live in the Colorado Rockies now...I have 2 ft of snow on the ground right now. :) But come June, I'll spend as much time outdoors, under the pine and spruce trees, reading for hours. :) Happy Friday!

  10. LOL I love to walk while I read. Usually I go on my elliptical and read though, it would be nice to walk outside. I chose my patio swing this week's A.

  11. That's quite impressive, I can't walk and read the the same time without walking into something or falling over something. I'm not the most coordinated of people lol

  14. Hmm... i would have never thought to read while walking, but I guess if that's your opportunity to be alone with a book, I would also take it.

  15. I think I'd trip 'cause I'm so clumsy, lol. You've got skill if you can read while walking! :) I'm lucky to walk and chew gum. XD I'm a new follower!

  17. Oh I loved Florida when I visited Orlando. We stayed in Hoodies the whole time in November, but we didn't need coats. Thank you so much for stopping by!

  19. YAY another walking reader. Yes, I have to make sure that I am safe while walking or I'll just stay on my Gazelle at home. Happy Friday to you!

  20. Oh wow, I don't know how I would handle that move. That's a beautiful place to live, but would be a weather shock to the system. I hope you enjoy the beautiful pines and spruces this year :D Happy Friday!

  21. Glad I'm not alone! I walk every night on my Gazelle for at least 20 minutes and read too. If I had a patio swing, I would definitely be enjoying it :D

  22. LOL It took a lot of practice that's for sure. I do walk into walls on a routine basis, but thankfully the route is pretty ingrained. Thank you so much for stopping by!

  29. Wow, already 80 degrees! I live in CNY and it's still in the 30s. Also, that's awesome that you walk and read at the same time. I would not do well with that. I'd probably walk into a tree. :)

  30. Hi, Jaclyn: I'm not a multi-tasker, so no reading and walking for me. :) Enjoy your nice weather! We're getting up to 70 in NC this weekend. Ahhhhh...

  31. I am from the south as well, so spring is the only time to sit outdoors for a long period of time and fall!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would have such a case of motion sickness if I tried to read like that but it would be nice to read while doing something else sometimes. Hot here in Florida too so I don't read much outside. Plus the glare...oh my poor old eyes! ;-)
