When life's kicking your butt, how about a theme song? [8]

My friend Robyn from robgirlbooks tasked us with coming up with a theme song each month, and I love it! Music is a VERY big part of my life. This month Robyn has asked that we come up with songs from a movie soundtrack.

I chose two for August:

This version is featured on 50 First Dates.

I can't listen to this one without thinking of the scene in Easy A.

What are your choices this month??

  1. I love both those movies! And Israel's version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow is my favorite. I wish I played the ukulele. And that birthday card scene in Easy A is so freaking fun! I love that you couldn't just pick one song. Ha! That's why I had to do movie songs again because last time I couldn't stop choosing songs! I hope your week is going well. I'm dying for more BB. I'm so hooked on it this year. I wonder if that's because last year's sucked so bad.

  3. The song from a movie that always seems to pick me up is Tiny Dancer when watching Almost Famous. That scene on the bus with them all singing the song bringing them all back together just makes me smile i guess. I love 50 first dates. But i'll pass on the spam :D Haven't watched Easy A yet. Did enjoy both songs.

  5. I just get lost in it. It's so feel-good. The movie is fantastic and so funny. I loved The Wedding Singer with those two as well. I adored penguins, so that little guy in 50 First Dates was adorable :D

  7. I loved 50 First Dates, so I love this version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. :) I've not seen Easy A, although I know of it. I do know the song though - I don't listen to her often, but I love Natasha Bedingfield's voice. Great picks this month, Jaclyn!

I love comments and read every one of them! Since they are an award in themselves, this is an award-free blog. Thank you though for the consideration!
