Harry Potter Moment of the Week [28]

This is a meme hosted by Uncorked Thoughts. The aim of this meme is to share with fellow bloggers a character, spell, chapter, object or quote from the books/ films/ J. K. Rowling herself or anything Potter related! She is picking a topic within HP for us to focus on each week and then if anyone wants to take part feel free! All she asks is to link back to her blog :). There is now a full list of the topics to come here.

 Most Inspirational Moment/Passage

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

There's way too many to choose from. I could list nearly anything that Dumbledore says, in his wisdom he shares a lot of inspiration.

BUT: "The boy who lived, come to die."

Harry walking into that forest facing his destiny, knowing that he was going to die has to be absolutely the most inspirational moment. It takes a level of bravery beyond anything else.

What it boils down to is all of those who sacrificed themselves for the 'good of the cause' and Harry himself - James and Lily Potter, Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, Hedwig, Moody, Dobby, Fred, Lupin, Tonks. All such hard moments to face, but they did what their hearts told them to.

What do you think is the most inspirational moment or passage?

  1. Harry walking into the forest ♥ Yup ^^ probably my all-time most inspirational moment of fictional history!! I agree 100% with you, it takes bravery to a whole other level! Sigh and yes, all the brave people who sacrificed themselves for the cause...I got chills just reading their names *cries all the tears*

Amazing pick! I totally agree, that's bravery beyond anything else. I would not be able to do that for suuuure. :L Harry is amazing.

  4. That was definitely an inspirational moment! I somehow forgot about this, just because I never think I could aspire to that kind of bravery and selflessness, although I hope I could if the time comes. The gif of Dobby's grave though, it just reminds me of Dobby's neverending kindness towards Harry. He could have just disappeared after he got his freedom, but rather he stuck around and helped him!
    Great choice!

  6. You couldn't have picked a better bravest character moment. It is absolutely that moment. I cried so hard over Dobby. I don't know why he hit me harder than some, but it wasn't a good day for me. Thanks so much for stopping by :D

  7. I've always imagined myself in those situations, and I know it would be the hardest thing to be faced with. Harry is spectacular. Thank you so much for stopping by!

  8. I love that Dobby stuck around. Harry treated him like no other wizard had, and I think it's fantastic that he did everything he could to repay him and even become friends with him. It was beautiful to me. Thanks so much for stopping by :D

I love the moment you chose! The one I thought of just now, the one that hit me really hard, was towards the end as well, when Snape said his unforgettabe "Always." It's a touching moment, but also a gorgeous message about unconditional love.

  11. Everything in the series led up to that moment in the forest, and Harry faced it with such courage. That is, without a doubt, my favorite chapter in all of the books and one of my favorites in any book that I've ever read. Love your choice! :D
