Harry Potter Moment of the Week [27]

This is a meme hosted by Uncorked Thoughts. The aim of this meme is to share with fellow bloggers a character, spell, chapter, object or quote from the books/ films/ J. K. Rowling herself or anything Potter related! She is picking a topic within HP for us to focus on each week and then if anyone wants to take part feel free! All she asks is to link back to her blog :). There is now a full list of the topics to come here.

Scariest Magical Creature

EEEEEK!

Aragog has to be the scariest to me! I'm freaked about by the regular 8-legged ninja beasts, so this HUGE monstrosity needs to steer clear of me. Where's the giant shoe?? We need one in the Forbidden Forest.

I can't even watch scenes with him on the movie. The second film, I skip right past those freaky pincered crawlers. My happiest day was when he went belly up. Does that make me terrible? Poor Hagrid though.

What do you think is the scariest magical creature in HP?

  1. LOL, very true. I was always scared of flying reaper things. I totally forgot their names.

I am not afraid of spiders but Aragog is special edition. He is the biggest, how's that allowed. I'd be scared of that one too, though the scene off the gif was hilarious. :D
    Good pick!

  3. Like you, just regular spiders creep the hell out of me. To many legs flying around AND they can climb walls and torment you from the ceiling O.O But yeah GIANT spiders with a taste for chomping on humans *cringe* Poor Ron with his spider phobia and he had to face THAT. Gah!! As much as I love Hagrid I was glad when Aragog bit it too XD

  4. Massive spider that talks and has no problem feeding you to his children despite you being his adoptive dad's friend...yeah, definitely creepy! I loved that bit with Harry though, that the GIF is from! Great choice :)

  5. Spiders aren't my favorite, but so long as they're not lurking in my bed, they're okay. I'm particularly freaked by dementors--especially because I couldn't see them!

  6. Hahaha! Love Harry imitating Aragog- that was one of my favorite scenes in the HBP movie! As for Aragog himself- eewwww. I hate spiders, so I definitely do not have any love for a gigantic one!

LOL Yeah, Aragog freaked Sky out, too, Jaclyn. :) Kinda made my skin crawl, to be honest.

  9. I wish spiders didn't bother me, but they absolutely do. If I see one on tv or in the house, I'll feel them crawling on me for hours. I had to put that gif up because I didn't want one of him! LOL I liked that scene a lot though. He wasn't goofy like that very often.

  10. I felt so bad for Ron! I could feel that fear and it would have been terrible to face it on that level. All of those huge spiders everywhere...I couldn't even imagine. I feel like I would have passed out. I agree with the ceiling attacks! It's not even right. *SMH*

  11. It was so fantastic! I giggled up a storm while he was doing that. Giant spiders are just not allowed. They are in LoTR too and they freak me out way too much.

  12. So glad to know that I am not the only one. These guys scared the beejezus out of me.

  15. Yeah! I didn't even mention the fact that it TALKS. Geesh! That is not ok. LOL I loved that part as well. It was so much fun watching him be a little crazy.

I love comments and read every one of them! Since they are an award in themselves, this is an award-free blog. Thank you though for the consideration!
