Teaser Tuesday [12] - Damsel in Distress?

Teaser:

I'd never been the damsel in distress type, the girl who dreamed of a guy sweeping in to save her in the nick of time like they did in corny movies. Besides, if I looked at this objectively, I wasn't the damsel in distress in this situation - Jordan was. I was the scary thing hiding in the shadows ready to leap out and devour her.

I used to be ordinary Samantha Day, but that's changed. Now, after one dark kiss from a dangerous boy, I can steal someone's soul...or their life. If I give in to the constant hunger inside me, I hurt anyone I kiss. If I don't...I hurt myself.

    I understand. I had a hard time getting close to Sam as a character in the first one and that made me neither wow'd nor hate it. This one I'm only 50% through, but I am enjoying it quite a bit :D Thank you so much for stopping by!

    I think there is a time and a place. I guess I'm used to being very independent, but surely it would be nice to have someone rescue you every now and then.
