Sidekick Saturday [26] - My Way or the Highway

Sidekick Saturday
Sidekick Saturday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted here by Jaclyn at JC's Book Haven. There are many secondary characters that are as great as the primaries. In some cases, the sidekicks actually steal the show and you like them better than the heroine or hero. Maybe they didn't have enough page time for how great they were. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Choose a sidekick *or someone other than the hero or heroine* that you would like to put in the spotlight that fits in this week's type
• Share a picture (if possible) and information about the character
• Give the title and author of a book the character can be found in
• Please don't include too many spoilers when describing why the character is such a great sidekick
• Put your link in the Linky thing and comment

June 15th - Unlucky
June 22nd - Villain among Villains
June 29th - Cocky

This week is My Way or the Highway

My choice is Alice Cullen
The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer

Alice Cullen picture created by Jaclyn Canada

Alice Cullen is my favorite character from The Twilight Series hands-down. She's bubbly, optimistic (though it seems to me it would be hard to be that way in her shoes), and knows how to throw a party. Plus, she flat out will not take no for an answer. If she wants something done her way, she will get it. She has Bella dress up in fancy clothes, and gets her to go shopping and have parties even when she is incredibly against it all. She even gets Jacob to like her and start doing things that she asks of him. If you have read the series, or seen the movies then you know she pretty much gets anything she wants, and if you tell her no at first she will come up with creative ways to guilt you into saying yes.

Quotes:

"Alice! You know I love you like a sister!"
"Words." she growled.

"No one dressed by me ever looks like an idiot."

"You'd think I was shoving bamboo splinters under your nails."

"Do you want to open your present now or later?"
"No presents."
"Okay... later, then."

"The date is set. Maybe we'll come visit you in a few months."

"You kept me waiting long enough."

"You know, Edward, as a brother, you are sometimes a disappointment."

  5. I love Alice. You're right, she's the pushiest girl ever. She bossed everyone around, but in a cheery voice. You made me want to hit those books again. The drawing is perfect for Alice. There will be no missing out on chatting with my own sidekicks this weekend.

Love this one... Alice is perfect. I think I am a my way or the highway type of girl and it pushes a lot of people away as far as friends go. BOO!!
