This week's question is: Have you broken up with a series? If so, which one and why?
The only series that comes to mind is the Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn that I quit reading with the 6th book - it's now to book 10, I believe. This is a good series filled with action and new stories, but what made me stop with this one was the love interest. For some reason, I never got behind Kitty's significant other and when they became more and more serious, it was just hard for me to continue with the story because she changed as a character and I found him a little boring.
If you are a new follower, I prefer being followed by Bloglovin, email, and twitter. Thank you!
Hopping through. Kitty Norville...who writes that?
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
That's Carrie Vaughn. Thank you for asking so that I knew that I forgot to mention the author :) I appreciate you hopping through.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read that one. Old follower via bloglovin'. Happy Friday! :D

I think my sister is in the middle of this series, Kitty sounds familiar. I sort of went to town listing all the series I have quit. Here's to the weekend where we're both going to snap out of our medical drama and get a chance to play. (gotta dream) Here's my FF.
ReplyDeleteIt's awful when a series gets boring. The worst!! I too have read 6 books or more into a series and then just had to quit. I'll wiki what happens in the last book of these series.

I know exactly what you mean! I haven't quite given up on this one. A little behind on it though by 2 books. Hoping that it ends soon just so I don't have to quit it though...

I haven't read that series, and now, maybe I just won't. There are quite a few series I wish had stopped before they did...

I haven't heard of this series, but I guess I won't go out of my way to look it up now! :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's my FF.
I never read that series. Mine are the Anita Blake and Sookie Stackhouse series. I just couldn't stand them anymore.
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot to mention Anita Blake because I gave up on that one a long time ago. I agree it is a series break-up for me as well. Sookie I haven't read the last 2 books, but I think I will finish the series out once the last one is released just to see how it's concluded.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thank you so much for stopping by :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :D Thank you so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThank you :D I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's really important to enjoy the characters. Thank you so much for stopping by and following :D
ReplyDeleteMight be a good thing ;) Thank you so much for stopping by and following!
ReplyDeleteI usually will stick it out because I've become invested in a character or two. There are just some times when that doesn't work out. Thank you so much for stopping by :D 'See' you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to know that someone else understands what I mean about this one. Thank you so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really good idea - I didn't even consider. Thank you so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how she is enjoying it. Kitty is a good character, I just didn't particularly care for the love there. Hope you get to have a good weekend with your sidekicks.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Liesel. Thank you so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI've haven't read this series but I've certainly heard good things about it. I'd been contemplating reading this, then I saw the number of books in the series till date and backed away. I'm trying to avoid drawn out series unless they are recommended by everyone I know.
ReplyDeleteDo drop by my FF. :) Old follower.

Yes thankfully that one has reached its end because it is time. Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend :D
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about the really large series. I want to make sure to read the reviews and see if they are well-liked all the way through to the newest one before investing my time in them. Thank you so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this series, but I know what you mean I have done the same thing. I hate to leave a series incomplete, but if I can't get into it then I have no choice.

Jaclyn I'm not familiar with the series you mentioned above but I get your point, because I was starting to feel that way with the Sookie Stackhouse series, a good story always must come to an end, and sometimes I feel that when it's up to book 10 it's just dragging out the inevitable.
