Saturday the 25th - Bad Turned Good
Jack Twist was a student at the House of Night and was immediately brought in by the main group of characters in the book because of his knowledge of technology. He was the AV guy when they would hold their rituals. He was always there to offer help and was a constant by their side whenever there was trouble. He also took care of Dutchess when her owner was gone even though dogs are a misnomer in this world and not looked at in the same way as cats. The only way I know to describe him besides incredibly nice is staunchly loyal.
Quotes:
“What more could you want? How about dominion over this 'beautiful place'? Beauty doesn't last. Friends and family decay. Power is the only thing that goes on forever."
Jack answered with his gut. "No, love goes on forever.”
I have to check with my sister who this character is. I read the first three books a while back, maybe I never came across him. The last quote seals the deal with all that romantic optimism; I like this Jack Twist person. I'm taking my sister to the movies tomorrow, but I'll make sure to borrow my mom's pen (because we're still the kids that ask their for the time and if she has a pen) and I'm writing her dang Kelly Meding choice down on my hand...no arm. I told her I needed quotes this week because she had fans. She laughed at me. Have a great weekend, Jaclyn!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the series but he sound great. As always, love your pictures.
ReplyDeleteHe does sound cool and love your drawing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alisa :D I'm so glad you stopped by.
ReplyDeleteI loved jack! He was my favourite out of all the HON characters only because he didn't play games, or have ulterior motives, he was just brave and caring.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jaclyn! I hadn't even read the words above the picture and I knew it was Jack! :) I love Jack! The HON series was one I was leery of reading - thinking it might be too teenager-y for me. But I grew to love it and the characters. Jack was awesome...the person everyone knew they could count on! Thanks for sharing Jack and your lovely pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so right. He definitely didn't have any ulterior motives - it was all out there for everyone to see and he was so GOOD. Thank you for stopping by :D
ReplyDeleteIt does get a bit teenager-y from time to time, but I still enjoy it. Some of the characters of course I love more than others and I think Jack is so adorable. Thank you :D
ReplyDeleteThat's another series I haven't read. He does sound like a great character, very loyal
ReplyDeleteThank you :D I really appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteOh maybe he's not there until the 4th book, but he does have a huge part once he's involved and he's probably one of my favorite likable nice characters in fiction. To be honest, I don't like the newer books in the series as much as the first ones but some of the characters are still dear to my heart. I can't wait to see what you and your mom and sister cook up! Have an excellent time :D
