Arriane befriended Luce quickly and this odd relationship included using contraband scissors to cut Arriane's hair just like Luce's. In the beginning, it is really hard to understand Arriane and what her personality is going to be like, but she punches a girl while standing up for Luce so she's ok in my book. The reason she is one of my sidekicks is because she is actually around for a lot of the action, ends up helping often, and provides comedic relief numerous times.
“If you two were going to be that obvious about it, why didn't you guys come down in your Team Daniel and Team Miles T-shirts?"
"We should order those," Shelby said.
"Mine's in the laundry," Arriane said.”
“Get to part B, Daniel. Think fast. Patience is a virtue, and you know how Cam feels about those." - Arriane”
“Well, as much as I love kicking asses and taking names, it's way past curfew for you three"- Arriane”
“Soooo," Arriane said. "Now you've met Randy."
"I thought his name was Cam."
"We're not talking about him," Arriane said quickly. "I mean the she-man in there." Arriane jerked her head toward the office where they'd left the attendant in front of the TV. "Whaddya think-dude or chick?"
"Uh, chick?" Luce said tentativley. "Is this a test?"
Arriane cracked a smile. "The first of many. And you passed. At least, I think you passed. The gender of most of the faculty here is an ongoing, schoolwiide debate. Don't worry, you'll get into it.”
“Gabbe jumped up and seized the cocanut first, giving its contents a sniff. "Arriane, she has just been through a trama," she scolded.
Arriane tossed her shoulders back. "Precisely why she needs something with a kick," she argued, holding the tray possessively while she and Gabbe engaged in a stare-down.
"Fine," Arriane said, looking away from Gabbe.”
