Best Hogwarts Teacher
While I feel that I would love Hagrid as a friend, I'm not really sure I'd appreciate his teaching methods. Lupin would be another close choice, but he's only there for a year.
I decided to go with McGonagall. We all know she's a no-nonsense and strict teacher, but those are exactly the kind that I loved the most through school. She would provide a sense of security for me which is important. Having been there every year, familiar, and also someone that I knew I could count on would be ideal. I love that we get to see her loosen up every now and then too like with the whole Quidditch thing with Harry. Her turning into a cat during the first lesson would also win points with me. I think it's great how much she cares about her students, and I absolutely ADORED her standing up to Umbridge every chance she got and having the spine and talent to back it up.
Which teacher do you choose?
Oh, it's not a surprise that most people will choose McGonagall as the best teacher in Hogwarts. She is definitely awesome with all the sass and badassery.
ReplyDeleteI also love the rare moments that she is loosen up a bit which shows the fun side of her. Also, she is the sort of person that you don't want to get on the wrong side of. Hahah when she turn into a cat, that easily amused my young mind back when I first watched it. I love her since then. Oh, she has the best moments when opposing Umbridge. :)
Btw, this is my first time participating in this meme! I am so excited to keep doing this meme in the future! :D Anyway, want to know who I think is the best teacher in Hogwarts?
Same here^^ she was EXACTLY the kind of teacher that tended to be my favorite in high school and uni! And she has a soft side hidden beneath that strict exterior anyway :) And like you, her turning into a cat would have been a huge added bonus as well ♥ She always did what was right and she was always fair. LOVE her for that! Wonderful pick :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I completely agree! She's the Sass-Mistress of Hogwarts and my pick for best teacher too!!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes - wholeheartedly yes! Lupin = great, but Miranda McGonagall = legend. Right? Great post!
ReplyDeleteI agree, she was the best teacher. A perfect mixture.
ReplyDeleteMcGonagall! hands down. strict? yes. Did they learn magic? YES. Like nobody's business :)
ReplyDeleteMcGonagall has so many qualities that make a truly great teacher. She knows how to keep order in her classroom, lol, but she also genuinely cares about her students. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Lupin AND hes a good teacher but he didn't get the chance to do more so I will also go with McGonagall as she is strick but kind in the same time, she's the best so far :D
ReplyDeleteI just love this meme! So glad you are participating :D I agree, McGonagall is wonderful. I love her for all the reasons you said as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm always drawn to the people who are clear about what you should expect from them. She's a rule-follower and will always be on the side of good. She's definitely black and white, there's not a lot of grey with her, but when there was, it was hilarious. I just loved seeing her soft side every now and then.
ReplyDeleteAbsolute Sass-Mistress :D
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. She is legend.
ReplyDeleteThey also couldn't have gotten a better actress to play her!
ReplyDeleteExactly!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! She wasn't a joke to the students, they knew they had to act right around her. She cared not only about their well-being, but that they genuinely learn something in her class.
ReplyDeleteThat sums it up pretty well. I love Lupin, but McGonagall was there far more and hands-down the best teacher overall.
