Harry Potter Moment [9]

This is a meme hosted by Uncorked Thoughts. The aim of this meme is to share with fellow bloggers a character, spell, chapter, object or quote from the books/ films/ J. K. Rowling herself or anything Potter related! She is picking a topic within HP for us to focus on each week and then if anyone wants to take part feel free! All she asks is to link back to her blog :). There is now a full list of the topics to come here.

Favorite Book in the Series:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This one was hard for me because I almost chose the first one for kicking off the madness of my love for this series, but with the way that I devoured this book in one evening after it came out, this one had to be my choice. There were no punches pulled. Neville goes from geek to a hero. The ending happened after a huge climatic battle and it was fantastic. It evoked more emotion out of me than any of the other books so far. I enjoyed every word on every page.

What about you? What was your favorite book in the series and why?

  1. The first - simply because when I first picked it up, I knew there was something special about the series and I was going to enjoy it. Harry's wonderment when he first visits Hogwarts mirrored my own. Second fav would have to be Goblet of Fire - poor Cedric.

  2. I actually know two people who have read 1-6 but not 7 because they didn't want it to end or thought she couldn't do it justice

  3. I'd have to agree with the Deathly Hallows, Jaclyn! Mostly because of the ending. ;)

  4. Awww yeah, I had that as well! Devoured it in a day, there was no putting it down. I just couldn't part with it and I am so sure Rowling's taken a part of me with her through the ending of the series/ loss of so many loved characters.

  5. I agree; first one is great too because it's where all started, but the last one is so good, so deep and dark and final. I love it. :D

  6. Definitely! Without the first one being so great, so many fans wouldn't have read on. The ending though was the best. :D

  8. Oh wow! I can understand the fear there, but man they are missing out! It's the very best one in the series as far as I'm concerned.

  9. Thank you! Yep, this is one of those books that I refused to read, eat, or drink until I finally had it finished. My son is finishing the fourth book up now so he's understanding the love for the books and not just the movies.

  10. Great choice! I agree with the first because it's such an iconic moment falling in love with the series. It has to be a special book to make so many people fall in love with these characters. I love Goblet too. The challenges were really neat to read as well as the kids from the other schools. Poor Cedric indeed. Thank you so much for stopping by!!

I love comments and read every one of them! Since they are an award in themselves, this is an award-free blog. Thank you though for the consideration!
