Harry Potter Moment of the Week: Dumbledore's Army or Inquisitorial Squad

First off, I would like to wish everyone in the states a safe and Happy 4th of July!!!

This is a meme hosted by Uncorked Thoughts. The aim of this meme is to share with fellow bloggers a character, spell, chapter, object or quote from the books/ films/ J. K. Rowling herself or anything Potter related! She is picking a topic within HP for us to focus on each week and then if anyone wants to take part feel free! All she asks is to link back to her blog :). There is now a full list of the topics to come here.

This week is a question - Dumbledore's Army or the Inquisitorial Squad, who would you choose?

No question!

Giving cat lovers everywhere a bad name!

I had such a hard time reading Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. I felt like Harry kept having knock down after kick after smack happening and was just waiting for something good and instead it was a really hard end. Very little went right for him in this book, and it was due to Dolores Umbridge. This lady makes you question whether you really hate Voldemort as much as you do her. She hand-picked members to join The Inquisitorial Squad after learning about a select group of students that are practicing magic right under her nose without her permission. Since The Inquisitorial Squad are all Slytherian students whose main purpose was to dock points from the other houses and catch Harry in any rule breaking, there's no way I would want to join in their ranks.

Dumbledore's Army - now there's a group I would enjoy meeting at The Hog's Head for a Butterbeer. I've had one, and man are they delicious. Dumbledore's Army was Hermoine's idea, a group formed to have Harry teach students Defense Against the Dark Arts. Who better to learn from? Ginny had the idea for the name, which I think is brilliant. Consisting of mostly Gryffindors, but some Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs as well, the DA learned enough to get better scores on their exams than most of their fellow students not to mention knowing enough magic to save their skins quite a few times.

  4. I totally agree: I had trouble reading about Harry's troubles in OotP as well, Umbridge was the WORST of all the villains. Even worse than Voldemort I suppose. Terrible creature.

I love comments and read every one of them! Since they are an award in themselves, this is an award-free blog. Thank you though for the consideration!
