Great choice. Gotta look into this series.Jennifer Bielmanhttp://readingandwritingurbanfantasy.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3080059027932862967.post-16659918648476451642013-12-21T20:56:12.509-06:002013-12-21T20:56:12.509-06:00Definitely if you've read the first book she&#...Definitely if you've read the first book she's just flat out not a nice person...supremely selfish and superficial. I think this series is one that really gets better as you go along. I don't think I cared for the first book all that much, but the story carries further in the rest of them to be much deeper and I never really knew what was going on so I liked that a lot. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a lovely weekend :D We are trying to shove as many Christmas things in as we can!Jaclyn Canadahttp://jcbookhaven.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3080059027932862967.post-3105444865718662892013-12-21T20:53:04.478-06:002013-12-21T20:53:04.478-06:00A Scrooge-like character doesn't really happen...A Scrooge-like character doesn't really happen everyday. The only other one I can think of would be Aphrodite from the House of Night series. I thought that Monica might walk down that path as well, but I kinda like the fact that she will always be Monica. In some books she is far better than others, but she is always deep down the same selfish and Queen Bee character. Have a wonderful weekend!! We are watching the Santa Clause movies right now :DJaclyn Canadahttp://jcbookhaven.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3080059027932862967.post-82224096659585511752013-12-21T10:12:23.567-06:002013-12-21T10:12:23.567-06:00I've only read the first book in this series, ...I've only read the first book in this series, but I absolutely agree with your assessment of Mimi from that book. I love your rendering of her as well! :) I'm going to have to go back and read this series - I love those quotes! Enjoy your weekend, Jaclyn!!Bookworm Brandeenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3080059027932862967.post-79399393961717144692013-12-21T01:05:21.576-06:002013-12-21T01:05:21.576-06:00I haven't read this series yet. It's been ...I haven't read this series yet. It's been on my TBR list since I first had a TBR list. I tried to think of characters who went from least favorite to favorite. I thought Rachel Caine might try that with Monica, but Monica dutifully remained a jerk. Great pick for scrooge since Scrooge went from shriveled up heart to totally giving. I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of holiday stuff.Robyn Jonesnoreply@blogger.com
